TWENTY TWENTY-ONE

If 2020 taught us anything, it would be the importance of absolute dependence on God.
In the midst of uncertainty and continuous change, God, His love and His protection were the only things that remained constant, thus allowing us to remain grounded.

So here’s a word for 2021…
And it comes from Isaiah 26:3-4;

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.

Isaiah 26:3-4

In 2021, my encouragement to you is to keep God at the  C E N T R E  of your heart, and allow Him to drive perfect  P E A C E  into every area of your life at all times. T R U S T  in Him and keep Him at the core of absolutely everything you do, so that regardless of the winds that blow and the storms that rage, you’ll still be able to stand strong, stand firm and bask in that  E V E R L A S T I N G  S T R E N G T H  He’s endowed you with.

In the worldly view of life, the idea of self-sufficiency is praised and applauded, however that is the complete opposite of God’s instruction to us in His Word (Proverbs 3:5-6). God specifically asks us to depend on Him as opposed to leaning on our own understanding, and it’s because He knows that He has the divine omniscience and omnipotence that we require and cannot find elsewhere, no matter how hard we search for it.
He has the ultimate plan for our lives, therefore what better place to draw from, than the Source and Fountain of Life?

We need to walk closely with God in 2021. It’s that simple.

There are so many benefits to reap when we walk with Him.
But even putting all material gain aside, the idea of an everlasting strength alone should excite us and encourage us to forever dwell in Him. Because the description of the strength in this verse is an indication of the fact that you will ALWAYS have all you need to get through anything you’ll EVER come across.

The peace described in this verse is an assurance that in spite of any trials, your heart will always find  R E S T  in Him. Even when you can’t explain it, or understand it – you’ll always have a stillness, a calmness and a resolve in Christ Jesus that no man or circumstance can take away.
I’ll plant a few verses here that describe the type of peace the bible promises to us – nothing that a man or woman can give – but a divine, heavenly, immeasurable P E A C E – John 14:27, Philippians 4:7.

In 2021, I encourage you to  A B I D E  in the Father.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

John 15:4-5

Though life prior to this year may have forced you to grind on your own, and be independent; this year I want you to drop your guard, drop that self-sufficiency and take all that strength you’ve built up, to God, so He can multiply it abundantly.

The truth is we can do NOTHING without Him. So even though some of the tough experiences we’ve faced may have pushed us to build up walls and a fierce attitude towards pursuing what we want – God desires for us to trust that He really will supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19). He desires a vulnerability from us that displays our obedience to 100% surrender to His will, and a heart that says ‘yes’ to doing things His way.

My prayer for you

Is that this year you’ll stay rooted in Christ Jesus.
No matter what life throws at you, and that’s both the good or the bad –  I pray that you will trust Him, and that praise and thanksgiving to the King will never depart from your lips.
May your heart crave God on both your best and worst days, and may your faith never waiver.
May you remember that you have an everlasting strength, and so be able to activate it when you need it most.
And may the perfect peace of God keep you grounded and confident of your victory in spite of any rocky paths.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

In 2021 – You are going to Win!
Because that’s the ONLY destination any journey with God can lead to!

I’m excited for you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Breathe… Pray… Act!

How often do you feel so overwhelmed with all your tasks and responsibilities that it paralyses you?

Whilst I hope the answer is ‘not too often’, I know that when this feeling does come over us, it can be extremely demoralising and detrimental to our productivity.

Let’s get rid of that horrible feeling!

Step 1: Take a deep breath, and release the stress…

Step 2: Join me in this prayer I have for you…

Father,
We thank You for a brand new day and the ability to love and breathe and do everything we are doing.
We thank You for all our roles of influence and all our positions of privilege that we could have only assumed by Your grace and love and mercy over us.
On this very day, we remember that every single thing You have done in our lives has been intentional, and therefore regarding the situation that we’re worried about at this present moment, we release it unto You in Jesus’ Mighty Name.

We no longer worry about it, because Your word tells us that our worrying does nothing! (Matthew 6:25-34)
Rather we give it unto You and thank You for the fact that You will equip us to master it in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
We take away every feeling of incompetence, being substandard, being unable, useless, unqualified, running out of time, panic, and anything else causing us to make our responsibilities into a mountain before us!
We lay all these negatives at the feet of Jesus and ask that You will remind us that Your grace is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9) and that we are enabled to conquer and succeed through Jesus Christ.
Father now that we have empowered our minds, and are mentally back on track, we pray for the proactive attitude that will allow us to execute the success You have preordained for us!
Help us to get up from our beds/seats/places of warmth and comfort, where we’re lounging about, and let us get busy and put our hands to great work!
Help us to work efficiently and effectively in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
All in all God, we thank You for the privilege and power of prayer, which means we can come before You and seek peace and comfort in the midst of what was terrorising us a few moments ago.
We pray for a permanent peace of mind, which will enable us to think, work, and act with clarity, and we also ask for a permanent peace and level-headedness to always trust that someway, somehow, You’ve got it all in control, and so through You, we can and we will do it!
All this we pray,
in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
Amen!
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
    whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
    its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
Step 3: Get Active and make necessary moves!
You can Do It!
Keep the Faith, Don’t Stop Believing
God Bless you.

Prayer: Confidence

C O N F I D E N C E

This week,

I pray You’ll remember the child of whom you are (Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:7), and therefore remember the royalty that you are in the kingdom.
I pray that every doubt of self – every fear of inability and fear of incompetence, be removed permanently from your life and replaced with the faith and boldness that you truly ought to have.
I pray for a new spirit of healthy confidence in who you are and what you can acheive.
I pray that you will not hold back from stepping forward and boldly embracing your strengths, and therefore taking on challenging tasks (at work, school, home, anywhere), which allow the excellence and uniqueness of God in you to shine through.
I pray that no hurdle will cause you to stumble, no barrier will cause you to turn back, and no obstacle will trip you up, as you journey through this week.
When you come across any curveball from the devil, you will rise in faith, and take the opportunity to activate the glory and power of God in you, and bring that devil to shame.

I pray for the glory of God surrounding you, to be intensified all the more.
I pray for a confident spirit when making decisions, a confident spirit when executing projects, and a confident spirit to walk away from things when their season has passed.
I pray for confidence and positive self-esteem when you communicate and interact with others, and I pray for a confidence overall that doesn’t seek validation from men and women on this earth – you know and trust in your anointing, and therefore I pray that you will be led to speak when you ought to, but also be humble and hold back when you ought to.

I pray you’ll remember the strength you truly have (do I even need to quote this one haha Philippians 4:13), and therefore won’t limit your options to only what your human mind can comprehend, but will think beyond the things of this earth, and will aim to achieve the unthinkable – through Christ Jesus.

Finally, I pray that you will have confidence to spread the gospel, and obey the instructions God gives you in order to minister, inspire and capture the hearts of those who are lost, and bring them home.

This week, I pray that in all things, you will be Confidently Confident!

in Jesus’ Name,
AMEN.

Keep the Faith, Don’t Stop Believing
God Bless you

A Prayer for your Week: 23rd-29th Oct 2017

Getting the right words down, in the right order, to mean the right thing, in the perfect way, definitely, takes time.
Which is why when bogged down with uni work, or just so many other things, you’ll find that there won’t be a post even though you expect one – why, because I can’t ever give you any old rubbish, it truly has to be God’s Untainted Word.

However I said somewhere in the welcome pages that this whole platform is definitely bigger than just me, therefore I know that being ‘busy’, is never acceptable as a reason to not keep up with the work of this ministry.

Therefore today God gave me this concept of sending you guys a prayer and best wishes from the bottom of my heart during these ‘busy’ times (Merciful King, Love hearts to Him), in order to ensure the consistency of posts you all deserve, and still give you something REAL.

So Let’s pray for our week;

Strength

Father, I pray for each of us to realise that we need not ask You for strength anymore because we already have it!
Therefore we ask for the ability to activate and believe in Your strength that already lies within us.
We thank You for making us strong;
Strong enough to get through the painful situation,
Strong enough to forgive wrongs,
Strong enough to help others,
Strong enough to keep going!
We thank You that Your strength in us shall allow us to overcome every existing weakness, and enable us to conquer in Jesus’ Mighty name.

Verse to prophesy: Philippians 4:13

Courage

Courage for the big things… Courage for the small things…
Father, we thank You for the courage You have placed in us.
You instruct us to be BOLD and Courageous in Deuteronomy 31:6, and that’s exactly what we’re going to be in this week!
Courage to stand up for others,
Courage to stand up for ourselves,
Courage to stand uprightly for Christ…
Father, we ask that You will give us the opportunity in this week to exhibit this courage and boldness, and let it bring glory and honour to Your name, in Jesus’ name.

Wisdom

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God,
who gives to all liberally and without reproach,
and it will be given to him.”
[James 1:5]

Wisdom to make a decision, and not regret it immediately after because it’s the wrong one – Father we thank You for and ACTIVATE, the wisdom You have given us.
Wisdom to make the right decisions,
Wisdom to act in the appropriate way in response to scenarios,
Wisdom to deal appropriately, and lovingly with our peers in all areas of our lives…
We thank You because the wisdom You have given us, will cause us to stand out this week in one way or another.
Our wisdom-driven behaviours, mannerisms, and choices will cause someone to ask about the Jesus in us! And will cause them to come to know Him, in Jesus’ name.

In all things,

We pray that we will walk in love, walk in Christ, and be a living testimony of His Gospel.
May this week be like none other; filled with surprises, blessings and opportunities to share Christ.

All in Jesus’ Perfect name we pray,
Amen.

Go out and smash this week! 🙂

Keep the Faith, Don’t Stop Believing
God Bless you.

A Need For You…

So we’re stepping into a new week, only by the grace of God, and of course, I have a message for you…

There is A Need for You…

Someone needs your smile

Someone needs the hope you have within you

Someone needs the strength that you can share

Someone needs the encouragement your words provide

Someone needs the comfort that you bring

Someone needs the love of Christ that flows from within you.

I want us to make this week all about everyone else.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.
Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

not looking to your own interests
but each of you to the interests of the others”.
[Philippians 2:3-4]

I want us to take the scripture in Philippians as literally as possible, and try our best to put our own concerns and burdens aside, as we look around to help the people around us.

To some of us, this may sound extremely silly or uncomfortable or hard to do or just not ideal, because your present situation is tough – but what God told me to tell you, is that in the same way He is sending you as a helper to someone else, so will He send someone to you – therefore, you need not worry one bit about what’s going on with you – (remember what His word says in Deuteronomy 31:8Philippians 4:19).
Pray for the strength to turn your eyes away from your issues, and focus on helping the people in your care.

Focus on your neighbour, and consider their needs.

Let them on the train before you, pay the extra £1 they’re short of, phone that relative and remind them someone is thinking of them, pray about the problem that is causing your friend to cry.

The bible teaches us to regard others above ourselves, to acknowledge their interests above our own and to value the things concerning them more than those concerning us.
Like I said above, sometimes when we’re going through so much hardship, and feel like life is working against us (even in the simplest of scenarios such as running late for work), this word is far too difficult of a pill to swallow.
We’re wallowing in our own worries and our self-pity that we don’t even have space to think of others or what they’re going through or how we can help them, because we are in need of help ourselves!!
But what the bible reminds us of here, is the fact that Love is unselfish (1 Corinthians 13:5)…
Therefore with the love of Christ, we ought to remember that there is always someone who is in deeper need that we can reach out to.
And no this isn’t about feeling better about yourself, but it’s about acknowledging that as children of God, God has given us a grace to ALWAYS be a blessing, regardless of our present circumstance.

So let us be mindful of our surroundings.
Let us consider others, and acknowledge their needs physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and let us stretch out our hands and pull them up from whatever valley they may be in!

This week, and always, I want us to remember that we are Ambassadors of Christ.
His Spirit lives richly in us, and we represent Him and everything He stands for.
Therefore just as He came to serve, and honour those He lived with, we ought to do the same with an open and joyous heart, desiring to make the lives of those around us pleasant and peaceful and filled with light.

Let’s start by labelling this week 25/09/2017-01/10/2017 as our #SelflessWeek.
And I pray that through the manifestation of the various selfless acts we carry out this week, we will be encouraged to permanently embed selflessness and living for others, into our everyday life.

Keep the Faith, Don’t Stop Believing
God Bless you.

Not Some… ALL

The thing about the bible is, the words in it do not lie.
Therefore when we see a sentence in there, or when we see a phrase in there, we have to take it for what it says.

How many of us are familiar with the Philippians 4:13 verse?
The one that tells us we can do all things through the strength we have in Christ Jesus.
How many of us believe it? (Many of us will say ‘me’.)

Okay, now how many of us truly believe and live by it?

You see, it’s one thing to believe that something is true, but it’s another thing to actually take on that truth and embed it into your own life.

All things, means All things.

It doesn’t mean a quarter, or a third, or two thirds or even 99%, but All things, means ALL…Things…

That means when you’re thinking of quitting because man, or even your own flesh has qualified you as unable to fulfil that task – you need to step up and realise that Christ is with you in ALL things, and you can and will do it – just apply yourself.

When your teachers/professors tell you that ‘Most students fail at this hurdle, hardly any students make that jump successfully…’ – you need to wear the garment of ALL things being possible through Jesus, and let them know there’s a Greater Being in you, that drives and enables you.

When your bosses say you can’t do it because of your background, or your experience, or your qualifications – you need to tap into that favour and grace from Christ that breaks protocol on your behalf and places ALL things within your reach.

Even when your family, who most people would argue are the ones who know you best – yes friend, even when they, in the deepest love for you, and through the desire of wanting to protect you from disappointment – even when they tell you that the venture is no good, or it’s too hard for you –  you need to strap up your ALL things footwear and get trekking, because Christ is going to take you there; to that desired goal and even further!

My reminder for you today is this,
When we extract verses from the word of God, let’s take them in their wholeness.

Just in the same way that we know we shouldn’t follow laws half-heartedly, or ‘pick and choose’ which commandments we want to follow, we also shouldn’t weaken verses of encouragement and empowerment, but rather, take them as FULLY as they come.

If Christ was only capable of enabling us 50% of the time, in 50% of the tasks, then the bible would tell us that!

100% UW

But as it says ALL things, it assures us of Him being 100 percent!
Therefore I encourage you to,
1. Put ALL your faith in His strength that lies in you.
And 2. Be bold to step forward and know that you truly are a conqueror, a victor and a success in EVERY single thing you lay your hands upon.

Now how’s that for a word to start your Wednesday morning?!

Keep the Faith, Don’t Stop Believing
God Bless you

My Gift; My Service

Let’s read:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.  If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
[1 Peter 4:10-11]

Okay, so let’s pick this apart a bit.
A few things stood out to me when reading this;
Gift
Service
God.

Gift

So a gift (according to the Oxford dictionary definition) is;

  1. a thing given willingly to someone without payment,
  2. a natural ability or talent.

God has willingly given each of us a gift (or even multiple gifts [plural]), without us paying a single penny for it, and He graciously and carefully designed these gifts when He was creating us, therefore we find that they are things we naturally flourish in and are talented in.

Now look at this, though many of us may have a gift that seems the same on the outside e.g. the ability to sing/dance/draw etc. – it is still a very different and unique gift that God gave to YOU for a reason!
So I guess that’s the first thing we should address – we should never see our gifts as something un-special, or common, or something that someone else can easily do!
We have to realise that in being fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), God has knitted us together purposefully, knowing exactly what qualities and abilities He has put in us that will complement our gift in order to make it Different and Great!
No one will ever use your gift like you can, and for that reason I need you to know and believe that it is Special, Unique, and most importantly NEEDED!

Service

Your Gifts Birth your Service on this earth.
And as mentioned above, friend, the service that your gift brings, is Needed.

“…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
[Matthew 20:28]

One of Jesus’ names is ‘The Son Of Man’, it describes the fact that Jesus came to earth to serve, therefore in being like Christ, service to others is a major part of our lives!
It is therefore very important for us to truly tap into the talent that we have, no matter what it is.
The only way we can truly thrive on this earth, and be ‘in our element’, and fulfil the purpose of God for our lives, is by using our God-given gifts and using them well!
The bible tells us that we ought to be ‘stewards of God’s grace, in its various forms’ – so this says two things;
1 – That our service is important because we represent God in our communities and in whatever we are doing.
2 – That God’s grace can be displayed in ‘various forms’, therefore we must appreciate that we each have something different, and something authentic to offer with our gifts.

You see, many of us bury the talent or the skills we have because we feel like the field is already occupied or overpopulated!
But this is definitely the wrong idea, if we read Matthew 25:14-30, we see that the servant who buried his talent ended up losing it, because he displayed an irresponsible and ungrateful attitude!
None of us want to lose what God has given us.
So stop thinking about others, be thankful for the gift He has graced you with, and step forth with your gift and begin to serve with it.

If you sing, you better do re mi away.
If you’re a poet, please word play till kingdom come!
If you’re a make-up artist, friend you better decorate those faces like your life depends on it!

Pardon my dramatic sentences, but I just want us to appreciate how important it is for us to NOT be afraid, and NOT compare ourselves to others, and just go for it, because the world needs what we have inside of us.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
[Matthew 5:14-16]

God

Let us thank Him everyday for our gift and ask Him to refresh and revive it and increase our anointing in Jesus’ name!

The verse we read at the beginning talks about ‘the strength God provides’ and this is one of the most important things to remember.
Our help and our strength comes from the Lord God Almighty – it is He who enables us to use our Gifts in the best way possible.
Therefore we shouldn’t ever try to do it all on our own, neither should we do it for personal praise or recognition.
The gift that we have is one that should be offered back to God, for Him to bless it, and direct us at all times to know exactly how we should put it to use, so that in all things His may be praised.

I pray that you will enjoy your gifts, and keep them alive by using them as much as you can to bless and impact others.
Friend, I encourage you to Love your gift; love the fact that God has given it to you, and love the fact that God has given you the opportunity to use it (that special thing), no matter how unorthodox, to Glorify His name, through Christ Jesus.

Please Please, don’t ever stop using your gift, God has given me this message for you, saying;
‘Do the best you can do with it, and watch how I myself will build and improve You.’

Remember, the Gift wasn’t given by mistake.

Keep the Faith, Don’t Stop Believing
God Bless you.
